Deputy minister sees Russia as largest ICO market

MOSCOW, May 16 (PRIME) -- Russia is the largest market for raising money through initial coin offerings (ICO), Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev said on Wednesday at a meeting of the financial market committee at the State Duma, the parliament’s lower house.

The State Duma studied bills on digital financial assets, attracting investment via investment platforms and digital rights.

Too “strict regulation” could result in “not seeing a single ICO,” Moiseyev said. “It contains us from introducing stricter regulations,” he said.
